Hello July

Greeted with a long awaited rain. The garden, pastures, and land are dry and thirsty. I know they are rejoicing as am I for this gift. 

With each new month brings an excitement for what can be. Hope of a clean slate, what’s going to happen. What does July hold. What kind of mama, wife will I be.  What will I hold time, space for. What character trait will be squeezed in and worked out in me. What memories will be made. Will I remember to be intentional, to build up my family, make the most of our days.  

We start a new school schedule this month something new to me, to us. A rotation of six weeks of lessons, two weeks on break~and so on. Also we’ll be starting a new curriculum ~ masterbooks. Strangely I feel I have two sets of kids. My first set has hit that point in life, they are setting out on their own with new adventures. This second set I feel I’m needing to reevaluate where we are. Learning so much as a mama of many ages. Coming into a season of record keeping and being intentional with their learning. Going back in a sense and starting over teaching all the things. Handwork, crafts, music, art, reading good books, maybe some unit studies, a nature table...

Though this is old territory it feels new.
