Switching to cloth || July Projects
It’s been a long while coming, switching to cloth. We’ve used cloth napkins for years eliminating disposable napkins and paper towels, next on this list was menstrual products and some toilet paper. I’ll continue to purchase toilet paper for now, easing into this adventure with all my people. Don’t worry friends, if you visit you’ll get tp ;) I can in no way afford to buy enough cloth products for our size of a family, making me sewing our own a must. I’m looking forward to making all these things. I enjoy simple sewing projects the best.
We’ve got milling barn posts going on lately with children eager to watch and help. Hoping the barn will be up and being used soon! We didn’t get as many beans planted as I’d hoped, making me can in small doses. Five quarts going in today. We’ve done quite a bit of garden projects. I feel the garden may have been slightly neglected due to the heat and me not wanting to be outside in it. Harvested the last of the purple potatoes, leaving the huge back bed to harvest. That needs to be happening very soon as they are ready. Maybe a couple rows a day until done. It’s still so hot here in Kentucky.
I hope you’re staying cool
~Lanie
