a date and Candlemas
Today has been a full day of thinking and reflection and learning. I've been down and resting most of the day after a terrible nights "lack of" sleep and a horrible crick in my neck radiating down through my shoulder. When I am up if feels like my head weighs an extra twenty pounds and it starts to throb...so I've had the opportunity through this to have lots of thinking time. Can you believe twenty years ago today hubby and I were on our first date ~ I was sixteen, he was 18 and look at us now married with lots of up and downs and eight beautiful children. I don't know why it seems so strange to think about all those years ago and being so young, but it's been so strange to me. We did end up being able to go out for a short evening and I'm glad I did, it helped get my mind off my pain.
Today is also Candlemas! Half way through winter with spring right around the corner. I do love winter so and I will be ready for spring when it's time. For now I'm enjoying where I am and enjoying our crazy Kentucky winter weather. It's said you know that if it's rainy and yucky weather, also the groundhog not seeing his shadow means no more harsh winter and spring weather will be here soon! Supposedly if it's nice and sunny on Candlemas then winter is still on. Well we will just have to see!
Happy Candlemas!
JM
