isn't life grand ~
We have celebrated a duo birthday ~ what could be more fun then one birthday...two!!!
We have been spending lots of time working on the house, making great progress. We have lots of wooden walls done, including the two bedrooms on the main floor, the living room, two walls in the dining, most of the bathroom, the pantry, and the refrigerator cubby. The tub is set, the plumbing is being put in, most of the electric is done! The small half bath has been mostly gutted and painted back. I have worked on landscaping a little, planting just a few things.
Well after lots of thinking and praying about lessons I have decided that as much as I love oak meadow and the Waldorf style, I just don't have the time it takes per child. I'm not personally a "workbook" person if it were my preferred choice of teaching, but my children prefer them. I think because they can work independently, when they want and get them done. We do so much "real life" teaching with most of our focus on just living that to spend an hour a day on workbooks to "put in" the time for each subject just makes it easier, and if they all would rather that then...great. Everyone happy = a happy day!
You know my seeds I planted in the cartons, that was such a great idea?! Well between the children and the wind they now don't exist! Ahhhh life ~ isn't it grand!!! Really though I seem to learn great lessons the hard way. Do you ever want to do something knowing it just isn't the right timing? Yeah so me sometimes! I get to far ahead with my want to's, when if I would just be patient it would work out better in the long run. But you know, that's ok because that's what this grand life is about. Living and learning!
We had a great weekend being home, cleaning up around here, ending with a bonfire! The critters were out celebrating life with us!

Love Love Love the walls!!! And you camera takes great pictures of the fire sparks :)
