Sapphire!

 

To our Surprise we have another kid! ;)

Meet Sapphire... 

We were moving the animals the other day and noticed that Opal had a full bag and looked ready to milk.  We check on our animals a couple times a day, but failed to notice this.  She did look a bit bigger than normal, but definitely not ready to kid...well we were mistaken.  I thought she would be due soon with a bit to go, but she decided it would be hours later.  She delivered with no problems except she had no idea what that thing was that just came out of her.  She wanted nothing to do with it.  I had to get up periodically all night to help the baby nurse and make Opal stand still to let her nurse.  She got better on day two and now on day three she is letting her nurse, licking her, and calling her where ever she goes.  Yay!!!

Oh the boys wanted to taste goat milk.  :)
