being intentional

Confession...I hate exercise!!!  Have I mentioned this before?  Of course I love the results of exercise but putting in the time, just not my thing.
Confession two...I'm not a very disciplined person!!!  One would think a woman with such a large family would be, but no, not this woman. I have crazy good intentions but little follow through. J says I'm like a dirt bike that just takes off across the field with great speed only to fall short because it ran out of gas. :)  Maybe just a personality thing...he is just the opposite, but you know I think in life there are starters and finishers.  That's why we make such a great team...I'm the starter, he's the finisher!

Here's what I'm working on lately...
Reading my bible EVERYDAY. Sometimes I have time to dig in and journal, sometimes I can just read.  This has been a challenge through a book I've been reading.  The first thing she tells anybody that comes to her for advice wheather it be about life, mothering, marriage...whatever, is "are you reading your bible EVERYDAY?  If they are willing to do this, she will participate, if not than they really don't want help.  She also says that mostly they come back and say "never mind" God has already helped me! :)
Excersing at least more times in a week than not for at least 20 minutes.  I have been doing this for a while now and it seems to be helping quite a bit, mainly with my mental state and digestion.
Sticking to a family meal/snack plan daily. Mostly the snack plan.  For some reason I spend a lot of money on snack food, so I came up with a snack plan that has some fruit on days, veggies, and snacks we have to make from what we already have. Throw in popcorn a couple days with some nutritional yeast and it seems to be coming along much better financially.
Cultivating a life giving home.  Another book I've been reading...A life giving home by Sally Clarkson.  Her story resonates with my heart and what I've longed for through my home.  I'm still at the beginning of this one, but I can tell, its going to be a great one.
And of course ~ laundry...always laundry

What about you?  Any personal goals??  How are you being intentional about daily life???
