coming along
The building project is coming along, sometimes slowly it feels. I know this part takes the most time, but I get discouraged sometimes at how slow it seems to go. With fall knocking on my door and no pumpkins or mums to greet him is disheartening. This is my favorite season and while I'm glad hubby gets to work in the beautiful weather, I'm a bit sad that I feel like I'm missing it by not having a home to dress up. Soon enough I suppose. I'm trying my best to take one day at a time and not worry what tomorrow holds. Today has enough troubles of it's own, to worry about the futures troubles is silly.
As we are adding stuff to the land it is a bit sad, as I love the raw look of the land. It is so peaceful and natural with nothing on it. I know it is inevitable for this to happen, but we are trying our best to keep it as raw and natural looking as we can.
We are building a very small structure to live in while we build our house. We don't know how long the "house" will take to build and we are hoping we will all be sane by the time it is done. :) I have researched quite a bit on small or should I say tiny houses and what I am understanding is that organization is key! While yes, this is actually a garage we are going to call it "the cabin". It just makes me feel better. :)
Definition of cabin -
1. a small house or cottage, usually of simple design and construction:
2. an enclosed space for more or less temporary occupancy
Okay really there are several definitions of cabin, but I like most people in the world am picking out the two that "fit" what I want it to mean.
Sooo from this point on in my writing I will refer to our new living quarters as "the cabin".
Also because our new place only has 3ish acres we will now call this our homestead instead of the farm.
Blessings,
JM
